The Model

  • Vaping has rapidly become the dominant form of nicotine addiction among teens and young adults, with over 2.1 million U.S. high schoolers reporting regular use. Despite this, there are very few tools designed specifically to help people quit vaping, most are either outdated (like nicotine patches or hotlines), poorly designed for this audience, or focused only on tracking usage without offering support or accountability.

    Current solutions:

    Fail to deliver real-time feedback

    Lack personalization

Don’t address the behavioral loop that fuels relapse

Ignore the role of social reinforcement and gamification in addiction

Users often feel alone, unsupported, and frustrated when trying to quit, resulting in high relapse rates and continued harm to both physical and mental health.

  • Breva is a smart and discreet wearable device that connects to a mobile app to help users quit vaping. It works by detecting vape usage in real time and guiding users through a personalized quitting journey using adaptive AI.

The device tracks each hit and syncs with the app to provide daily progress updates, insights into craving patterns, and tailored support. Users can access tools like guided breathing, delay prompts, and milestone tracking. The app also includes optional coaching and community features to keep users motivated and supported throughout the process.

Breva is more than a tracker. It is an accountability tool that intervenes at the moment it matters most and transforms the quitting journey into one of structure, support, and long-term success.

  • Primary Market
Breva is built for individuals who vape and want to quit, with a focus on teens and young adults (ages 15–28). Many in this group began vaping socially or as a coping mechanism and now find it difficult to stop. They’re looking for support that feels personal, non-judgmental, and actually works. Most importantly, they want a solution that speaks their language—tech-savvy, customizable, and integrated into their everyday life.

    Secondary Market
Our secondary market includes the communities and institutions surrounding the primary users. This includes parents, schools, universities, counselors, pediatricians, mental health professionals, and even anti-nicotine advocacy organizations. These groups often want to provide effective tools to help others quit but lack resources that combine data, accountability, and tech-driven engagement in one platform. Breva fills that gap by offering a solution that can be recommended, bulk-purchased, or integrated into wellness programs.

  • Jayden - 19 - Vaping since high school

Jayden vapes from the moment he wakes up to the moment he’s back in bed. He can’t seem to find a way to quit, whether it was cold turkey, or subpar apps, he never has been able to stop fully.

He doesn’t want to talk to a doctor and feels embarrassed to have these apps that seem targeted towards adults.

He wants a system that holds him accountable, one that gamifies the experience. Jayden needs to feel engaged with what he is doing, and tracking his progress with rewards and tailored plans work best for him.

Ms. Thomas – The High School Wellness Counselor

Ms. Thomas has seen vaping become an increasingly growing problem in her school. She has tried encouraging students to read brochures, talk to their doctor, or find new methods of curbing the cravings, but nothing seems to work.

She knows that students need constant engagement in this day and age, one that creates an experience, not a chore and a pain.
